The ART of Manifesting

Updated: Jan 15, 2021

Are you

Ready for

This?

Synchronicity is a concept, first introduced by analytical psychologist Carl Jung, which holds that events are "meaningful coincidences" if they occur with no causal relationship - yet seem to be meaningfully related.

Imagine you are a creative soul and life is your artistic medium. You may think you are creating your artwork out of your imagination, but what if your higher self is expressing your future? An artist with life as their "medium" may be tapping into something amazing and unique.

According to Rebecca Rosen, "A medium uses his or her psychic or intuitive abilities to see the past, present and future events of a person by tuning into the spirit energy surrounding that person. This means mediums rely on the presence of non-physical energy outside of themselves for the information relevant to the person being read."

If a "medium" is someone who channels their higher self and taps into the etheric realm of past soul lives and future possibilities for another person's current life trajectory, perhaps artists who are also mediums do that for themselves!

It wasn't until I moved to Mount Shasta, California in 2013 and had my picture taken with the mountain in the background that I remembered a painting I had made in junior year of high school. I found a photo of the canvas (now long gone) and immediately saw this amazing resemblance to Mount Shasta! Now, I should say that growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois I had no real experience of mountains. My childhood family's annual road trips to Kentucky were mesmerizing as I watched all of the beautiful, interesting terrain and layers of earth out of the window, but I had never seen snow topped mountains in person.

My high school art class assignment had been to paint a self-portrait and while all of my classmates painted huge canvases of their faces, I chose to paint myself free as a bird driving in my dream car, to a life very different than the one I was in. My teacher gave me a "D" since I didn't follow directions for that particular assignment, but then begged for permission to display it in the high school's bi-annual art show. While I look back, I wonder if I had a premonition to that future (minus the Camaro) or if I manifested it through this type of artist vision board.

My daughter recently moved to Colorado, and while helping her unpack I began to see the synchronicity in her life and artwork. Now I was fascinated! Was this a trait of intuitive artists, and perhaps was this genetic?

I found a similar type of self-portrait she had created at the exact same high school I went to and in the same year of her education! Cool! Fast forward about 8-9 years and she was temporarily living in Mount Shasta with it's pristine mountain water! Was this her higher self predicting her future, or did she manifest it by painting from her heart?

I enjoyed looking through her more recent paintings and realized that a few years ago while she lived in Illinois, she had painted this beautiful mountain scene and I began to wonder if that was her Colorado future?! Fascinating! I told her to paint what she wanted next! This seems to be her heart showing her the future. A different type of vision board! Can't wait to see what she manifests next!

Remember your heART is a powerful manifesting magnet. What do you want to attract? Find a way to ARTistically represent that and watch what happens!

P.S. Just had to add this cute tidbit. My daughter found a mural on the side of a building in Sebastopol, California while traveling and saved this photo of the portion with a beautiful dog (left). About 2 years later she took a photo of her new puppy and realized it looked a bit familiar (right)!

Wowza, way to manifest girl !!!!
